We are offering this extremely rare miniature portrait for your consideration.

It is a 17th century fired enameled copper of a handsome young nobleman.

It is presented in its original stained ivory frame and papered wooden backing where the sitter is identified in a hand written descriptive.

This piece would be a pivotal addition to the finest collection.
It was the most interesting of a museum deaccessioned collection we sold on Ebay a few years back. We intended to keep this piece but the upward spiraling costs of remodeling out home prevents it. So, away it goes ...

DIMENSIONS
Measuring approximately 2 1/2" in height by 2 1/8" in width.

CONDITION
Very good condition, the ivory frame has shrunk through the centuries leaving a substantial gap, as seen in the images

Please note small area on the left edge of the unframed painting, where a chip of the enamel has been glued, as seen in the images above.
